Three years of Commitments of Traders reports released

The CFTC released three years of COT reports that employ the new categories; producers and merchants, swaps dealers, money managers and other market participants.

The CFTC said the historical data dating back to June 13, 2006, will cover the 22 commodity futures markets currently contained in its expanded COT reports.

“By releasing three years of history, we will provide regulators, market participants and the public with additional transparency,” CFTC chairman Gary Gensler said in a statement on Monday.
