
Elan Mendel is an associate with Shipkevich PLLC, and specializes in bankruptcy, commercial, and corporate matters. He has worked in the legal departments of a number of multi-national corporations, including that of a major Futures Commission Merchant and Retail Foreign Exchange Dealer in New York. Mr. Mendel was also heavily involved in Chapter 7 Trustee and federal receiver representation in the federal District and Bankruptcy Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. His insurance coverage experience included extensive insurer representation in coverage lawsuits through trial and appeal. Mr. Mendel is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York, and worked for the Honorable Frederic Block, United States District Judge in the Eastern District of New York. He earned his J.D. and certificate in business law from Brooklyn Law School and his B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
